Want to give back to the chapter?  Worried that your money won't be used the way you want it?  No matter what your concern is there is a place to donate.  There are two types of donations available - Tax deductable and non-tax deductable.  If you donate directly to the chapter they have more control over how the money is used - whether that be for a scholarship, a social function, or an addition to the house - it will be used to benefit the chapter.

Tax Deductable Donations

If you would like to claim your donation to the chapter on your taxes you can if you donate through the TKE Educational Foundation.

FAQ's:

1. If I donate to the TKE Education Foundation (TEF) does that mean that money is not going to the Towson Chapter?
Answer: No.  When you donate to the TEF there is a memo field where you can specify where your money goes.  It can go into the Pi Upsilon Schlorship Fund or the Pi Upsilon Special Projects Fund.  Both of these funds are controlled by the Towson Board of Advisors and will be used for educational purposes. 

**The Scholarship Fund has to reach $5000 to become fully endowed by the TEF.  Once it reaches that amount it will produced a $500 Pi Upsilon Scholarship per year for life. 

2. Will the money I donate earn interest?
Answer: Yes.  The TEF invests every chapters money together to get a higher return.  They currently manager over $1Million in chapter scholarship funds.  That is the reason that the scholarship fund needs to reach $5000 to become endowed.  After that it will produce a $500 surplus every year.  If the fund goes over $5000 the higher the surplus and the annual scholarship.

3. How do I donate?

It's easy - simply by clicking here.  There are currently two areas where you can donate to.  One is the Pi Upsilon Scholarship Fund which, once it reaches endowment, produces an annual scholarship to a Towson TKE each year.  The Second option is the Pi Upsilon Special Projects fund which is used to help with the educational needs of the chapter (i.e. Raising Funds for the Chapter House!).

Non-Tax Deductable Donations
